This work by a next-to-unknown composer is the only surviving piece from the once-large collection of both sacred and secular music which was held by the Redemptorist Bennonites at their church in Warsaw. The music is interspersed with liturgy in order to create an entire Vespers service as it might have been heard at St. Benno's between 1790-1808. The copious notes give a fascinating history of the Bennonites, their services to music and to the people during the Prussian occupation of Poland and more. Records International
