Tomasz Kamieniak, pianist, composer, graduate of The Academy of Music in Katowice. In 2004 he was developing his pianistic skills in Hochschule dur Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar. In 2007 he bacame the winner of Grand Prix of the 4th Competition for Recording Project "Forgotten Polish Music" organized by the Acte Prealable Music Company. The pianist recorded the first volume of piano works by Jozef Wieniawski (AP0184) in 2008. The pianist's interests are concentrated around neglected works of forgotten composers. He enjoys performing little known pieces of Liszt, Alkan, Thalberg, Wieniwski, Herz and others. In the field of composition he is an autodidact. His works predominately include piano music, but there are also chamber music and choir pieces (Missa Pater Noster, Requiem), and film music. His works were performed in Weimar, Eckental, Werdohl, Aadorf, Groningen, Bilthoven, Levoca, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Brzeg, Oborniki Slaskie, Milicz, Tarnowskie Gory, Rybna, Bytom, Katowice, Krakow.
