Marit Carlsen was a great soul- and gospel-singer from Kristiansund, a small town on the West Coast of Norway. She made some few records before she died all too young in February 2002. The best one was the LP "Feelin' Spirit" from 1982. The famous Arne Domnerus' orchestra, a band with the Swedish jazz-elite accompanies her in a repertoire of negro spirituals and gospel-songs, arranged by Bengt Hallberg. Tracklisting 1.
